It began with a gift of love: a pair of earrings Patrick sculpted for his future wife, Catja. When her hairdresser admired them and asked for a pair of her own, others soon followed - and so a family legacy was born.
Patrick and Catja raised their four sons, Alexander, Forbes, Patrick Jnr and Benjamin, in the wilds of Zimbabwe, where nature and a sense of wonder were part of everyday life. The boys grew up sketching, experimenting and finding ingenious ways to turn whatever caught their attention into artworks of their own.
That instinct remains at the heart of the Mavros family today - an African family with a deep-rooted dedication to creativity.
